It all started just outside Gothenburg, in the small town of Särö. We had each just picked up an Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch, and like most people, we soon wanted to swap the original strap for something that felt a bit more personal. Simple, we thought. It turned out to be one of the more frustrating things we had ever taken on.

Either the straps cost several times more than the watch itself, without the quality justifying the price in any way. Or we found something cheap and fresh looking in a photo, ordered it, and ended up holding a strap that neither felt, looked nor fit like what was promised. The wrong shade of grey. Rubber that started cracking at the buckle after just a week. Measurements that were "roughly" right, but never quite matched the case.

After the fifth disappointment, we decided to stop searching and build the strap we actually wanted ourselves. We knew nothing about rubber compounds, production tolerances or mass manufacturing when we started. What we had was stubbornness, a pair of calipers, and a growing pile of samples that were either too stiff, too cheap feeling, or simply wrong.

Month after month, we tested new blends of premium rubber until we finally landed on a feel we were genuinely proud of: soft against the skin, durable in everyday life, and with a fit against the case that sat exactly right, every single time. We measured, adjusted, and measured again until the tolerance was not just "roughly right", but actually right.

When we finally dared to sell the first straps to people around us, word spread faster than we thought possible. What started as a way to solve our own problem slowly but surely became WristSwitch: a small, independent brand building straps for the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch, and now also for the AP x Swatch Royal Pop, with the same stubborn focus on fit and honest quality we had from our very first sample.

We are still the same small team, still based in Särö, and we still try on every single color and model ourselves before it is allowed into the shop. No product leaves us until we are ready to wear it on our own wrist.
